Russell Scott "Scottie" Flowers, age 57, of Axis, Alabama passed away on Thursday, July 15, 2021. Scottie was born September 27, 1963 to Curtis and Linda Flowers. He proudly served in the United States Army. Scottie enjoyed coaching softball and watching Alabama Crimson Tide football. He had a career as a welding inspector and also worked on oil rigs. He loved spending his spare time watching his favorite movies, and listening to his favorite songs. Scottie spent several years battling lots of health problems but always remained independent. He never wanted to give up doing things himself. He was always so determined with the help of his wife of 30 years. Scottie will be missed dearly by family and friends.
He is preceded in death by a granddaughter Emree Flowers, mother Linda Ivey, brothers; Stevie Flowers and Roho McKenna. Survivors include his wife Tammy Flowers, son, Bryan Flowers, daughters; Amanda Flowers and Jacquline (Brandon) Lindsey. Father, James Ivey. Grandsons; Avery Sutton, Tylin Sutton, Trentin Sutton, Tyler Lindsey and Alex Lindsey. Brothers; Randy (Lori) Flowers, Jamie Ivey, Johnny Ivey, Edward Ivey and Wayne (Karen) Ivey, and many others.
A memorial visitation for Russell Flowers will be held Friday, July 23, 2021 from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Radney Funeral Home, 1200 Industrial Parkway, Saraland, AL 36571, followed by a memorial service at 7:00 P.M.
