It is with deep sorrow and profound gratitude for a life well lived that we announce the passing of a truly remarkable man whose dedication, compassion, and service helped shape and strengthen his hometown for generations.
Throughout his life, he devoted himself to helping others and serving his community with unwavering commitment. Whether responding during times of emergency, maintaining and improving the city he loved, developing vital resources, or applying his knowledge and skill in engineering and public works, he could always be counted on when people needed him most. His work was not simply a career — it was a calling rooted in faith, service, responsibility, and care for others.
Known for his steady presence, generous heart, and willingness to help anyone at any time, he touched countless lives through both his actions and his character. He was the kind of man who quietly carried burdens for others, solved problems without seeking recognition, and made people feel safe simply by being there. To many, he was a mentor, a protector, a trusted friend, and an example of what it means to live with integrity and purpose.
He was preceded in death by his beloved brother, W.F., and sister, Norvelle.
He is survived by his loving son, Jason, and daughter, Claire, three cherished grandchildren, Kim, Lilly, and Ezekiel, and one loyal grand puppy, Baxter. His family was his greatest pride, and the love he gave them will continue to guide and comfort them always.
One of the most caring men to ever walk this world, his absence leaves a space that can never truly be filled. The city he served, the people he helped, and the family he loved will never be the same without him. Yet his legacy lives on in every life he touched, every problem he solved, and every act of kindness he gave so freely.
He will be deeply missed, forever remembered, and endlessly loved.
