Samuel Kelly Johnston

Samuel Kelly Johnston, age 80, of Saraland, Alabama passed away on Friday, October 12, 2018. Samuel was born May 9, 1938 in Washington County, Alabama to Elizabeth Briggs Johnston and Michael Johnston.

Samuel is survived by his sons, Dale Johnston, Thomas Clifford, and Aaron (Lesley) Johnston; siblings, Rachael (Opie) Sullivan, Jordan (Orville) Carter, Anna (Armond) Taylor, J.W. (Emma) Johnston, and Linda (Leonard) Prine; nine grandchildren; special sister-in-law, Grace Orso; special nieces, Belinda Johnston and Charlise Little; and numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Samuel was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Betty Maxine Johnston; father, Michael Johnston; and mother, Elizabeth Briggs Johnston.

A visitation for Samuel will be held Thursday, October 18, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Radney Funeral Home, 1200 Industrial Pkwy, Saraland, Alabama 36571. A celebration of life will occur Friday at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, 3009 Firetower Rd, McIntosh, Alabama 36553. Interment will follow at Mt Moriah Baptist Church, 3009 Firetower Rd, McIntosh, Alabama 36553.

Serving as pallbearers are Jordan May, William Sullivan, Sean Mayers, David Johnston, Dale Johnston, Robert Tate, Christian Wilkes, Jason Logan Shereck, Joseph Reed and Robert Ayden Tate.
