Sandra was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother whose greatest joy came from the love she shared with her family. She is survived by her children: Wendy Ruby, her husband Paul, three children and four grandchildren. Sheryl Boltz & Steve Ritchey, her son and grandchild. David Shead & Linda, five children, eight grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and Jim & Tina Shead, three children and four grandchildren, each of whom held a special place in her heart. Her legacy lives on through them and the values she instilled—kindness, resilience, and unwavering support.
A pillar of her community, Sandra gave many years of service to the Boy Scouts of America, where she contributed her time and energy to mentoring and supporting young people. Her commitment helped shape the lives of countless scouts, leaving a lasting impact that will not be forgotten. She was also an active and dedicated member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, where she worked tirelessly to support veterans and their families, honoring their sacrifices with compassion and respect for the past 39 years.
Sandra will be remembered for her generous spirit, her strength, and her deep love for those around her. She touched many lives and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
A celebration of life service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 4th, 2026, at Radney funeral home in Saraland, Alabama. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages acts of kindness or donations to organizations that support things close to her heart in her memory.
