Sandra Kay Allen Chandler, age 65, of Creola, Alabama passed away on Wednesday February 5, 2020. She is preceded in death by her parents, Wallace Aubrey and Eunice Hiatt Allen.

Sandra loved her family and friends and was so happy for the accomplishments made by each of her children and grandchildren. She loved to cook for others, and learned her cooking skills from her mother "Nana". She passed on her cooking skills to Jason..."you are in charge of the dressing" she said. She will be remembered for her caring nature, always wanting those she loved to be happy. She was loved by many and loved many and she never met a stranger. She enjoyed playing the piano in her earlier years and was the pianist for Navco Baptist Church during those years.

Mrs. Chandler is survived by her husband Donald Chris Chandler "DC", and children, Michael (Tonya) Wheat, Jason (Krystle) Wheat, Kristen Chandler and Allen Chandler. She is also survived by her siblings, Gloria (Harry) Malone, Tommy (Anne) Allen, grandchildren; Andrew (Julia) Wheat , Lauren Elizabeth (Tyler Webster, Fiance') Wheat, Alissa Mathieu, Tyler Wheat, Brennan Wheat, Hunter Chandler, Kara Grace Chandler, Jamie Chandler, great-grandchildren; Daisy Freeman, Andrew Richard Wheat and best friends/sisters by choice, Nesi Clark and Sharon Carnahan. She will also be missed by her special pets, Callie and Smokey. She is now in heaven watching over all of us. We love you Mom and Grandmother.

I was so sorry to hear about Sandy's passing. I when to school and lived on the same street (Cawthon) as Sandy. She, Pam Allen who lived across the steeet from (Kay), that's what we called her when we were little were all the same age. We lost touch after her family moved from Cawthon, but reconnected through FB. Sincere condolences for your family in this time of grief.

I’ll always cherish the morning rides to school with you and Mike. WABB playing on the radio, the smell of your mint gum permeating the car, and your chuckles as you picked at us about everything from girls to our hair.

When I came home from the war, and was “lost”, it was yours and DCs acceptance and love that was a spot of refuge for me until God worked it out.

I’ll miss you Aunt Kay, but I thank God that I had you in my life, but most importantly, that we will be able to rejoice together again, in eternity with Jesus.

I love you -

Chirsso
