

Sandy Simison, 76 years old, of Mobile, Alabama passed away peacefully on March 26, 2026. She was born July 7, 1949, to Freeman and Joyce Boltz, in Hershey, Pennsylvania. Sandy was a devoted big sister to Jodi Todd (Perry, GA) and Stephanie Sims (Brunswick, GA). The family relocated to Warner Robins, GA in 1965, where Sandy graduated from Warner Robins High School in 1967. She moved to Alabama in 1967, where she lived for a period of time in Mount Vernon before settling in Mobile. She was retired from the Mobile County Board of Education and also the Inner City Mission where she served on the board for many years. Sandy was known for her big and infectious laugh and for her love of Jesus and her son, Tommy Jr. Sandy was an active member of Pathway Church, an avid reader and crafter. Sandy was also known for her love of hockey, Alabama football, Saints football, as well as her love for her beloved cat, Comet. Sandy was proceeded in death by her parents, Freeman and Joyce, aunts June (George) Longenecker and Betty (Herb) Weaver. She is survived by her son Thomas Simison, Jr., sisters Jodi and Stephanie, cousin Eddie (Ellen) Longenecker, nephew Jimi, nieces Stasia and Jessie, and great-nieces Kylie and Keegan along with numerous friends. Celebration of Life service will be held Friday 4/10/26 at 6PM at Pathway Church, 7200 Moffett Rd, Mobile, AL. Graveside service will be Saturday 4/11/26 at 10AM at Mt. Vernon Community Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to Pathway Church, Inner City Mission, or the charity of your choice in Sandy’s memory.
