Sarah J. Redden – a 95 year-old native of Etowah County, AL and resident of Eight Mile passed away on Friday, May 25, 2012. She retired from International Paper after many years of service as a machine operator. Mrs. Redden was preceded in death by her husband, Roy M. Redden; daughter, Mildred “Boots” Culpepper, and grandson, Richard Culpepper. She is survived by her son, Ronald Redden (Barbara); son-in-law, Jerry Culpepper; grandchildren, Roy Culpepper, Danny Culpepper, Darrel Culpepper, Ricky Redden, Janie Whatley, and Chris Redden; great-grandchildren; great, great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home in Saraland on Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at 10 a.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, May 28, from 5-8 p.m. Interment will be in Valhalla Memorial Gardens.
