

Scott Avanda Moak - born August 9, 1961, lost his courageous battle with cancer May 24, 2012, at home. He was an employee of the Mobile County Public School System, Maintenance Dept, and a member of Shelton Beach Road Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his "Daddy" Robert Moak, September, 2011. He is survived by his "Moma" Laverne Moak; brothers, Rob (Terri) Moak of Phoenix, AZ, Ken Moak of Saraland, Brian (Stephanie) Moak of Malcolm; sister, Julie (Ken) Sanderson of Saraland; sister-in-law, Christi Moak of Mobile; nephews, Chris, Lucas, Dillon and Logan; extended family, Tammy, Amber and Wes Biggs; special caregivers, Ken Sanderson and Tammy Biggs; "Puppy Dogs" Rusty and Bear; a host of relatives, many special friends and beloved coworkers of the MCPSS. He will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved him. He was an avid Bama, Nascar and Blue Angels fan. Our special thanks to the staff of Infirmary Hospice. The family will receive friends at Radney Funeral Home in Saraland on Monday, May 28, 2012, from 5-8 p.m. Funeral services will be Tuesday, at 11 a.m. from Shelton Beach Road Baptist Church with Rev. Gary Shockley officiating. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Corey Joiner, Butch Smith, Rick George, Richard Leggitt, Mike McLemore and Mike Bryan. Honorary pallbearers will be MCPSS Maintenance Dept.
