Mrs. Shelba Jean Harbin Kain, age 83 longtime resident of Saraland and current resident of Mt. Vernon, passed away on Tuesday, April 20, 2021. She is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Kain, parents, James Virgil and Beulah M. Watkins Harbin and grandson, Jason Johnson.

Mrs. Kain worked as a legal secretary for over 40 years in the Mobile area. She was employed with Daniel, Upton, Perry and Morris Law Firm. She attended Destination Church for many years. She enjoyed sewing and playing the piano in her past time. Her greatest loves were her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her children; Pamela Kain Smith (Charles) and Sandra Kain Jordan (Eddie). She is also survived by her grandchildren; D.J. Johnson (Blair), Alisha Richardson, Leigh Jordan Kelly (Jerry), Gary Wade Jordan (Crystal), Carrie Lynn Jordan and Anthony Jordan (Beth) and great-grandchildren; Jayden Johnson, Ayden Merritt, Zandyn Merritt, Carter Kelly, Jordan Kelly, Kaylee Jordan, Baylee Jordan, Payton Stoneburner, Alyssa Mann, Journey Hirsch, Colton Jordan and Trevor Jordan and other family and friends.

Visitation will be held at Radney Funeral Home-Saraland on Monday, April 26, 2021 from 12:00 p.m. until funeral service time of 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Saraland.

Family request that visitors and family members please respect the wearing of masks and social distancing due to Covid.
