Shirley Jean Burge Dyess, age 79, passed away peacefully in her home on Friday, January 5, 2018. Jean was born in Putnam, Alabama and has lived in Saraland, Alabama for most of her life. She is preceded in death by her parents, Henry Charles and Evie Mae Burge; her loving husband of 55 years, Curtis Wayne Dyess; and her sister, Ruth Felton. Jean is survived by her siblings, Charles (Patsy) Burge, Betty Ann (Gail) Thompson, James D. (Chandra) Burge, Cindy Lynn (Tim) Harrison; three loving daughters, Delisa (James) Martin, Bridgitte Dyess, Dawn (Richard) Taylor; 5 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. A private Celebration of Life, for immediate family, will be held Saturday, January, 13, 2018 in Mrs. Dyess' home.
