Silvia was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, foster mother, and faithful servant of God. She was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ, and her faith was a guiding force throughout her life. Above all, Silvia treasured her family and her relationship with the Lord.
For 25 years, Silvia and her family opened their hearts and home to more than 60 foster children. Her love and compassion touched countless lives, and she leaves behind a legacy of caring for children and making every person who entered her home feel loved and welcomed.
Silvia shared a loving marriage with her husband, Charles Richard “Dick” Glover, who preceded her in death. Together, they built a life centered around faith, family, and service.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Scott and Debbie Glover, Todd Glover, Mark and Karen Glover, and Caleb Glover; and her grandchildren, Josh Glover, Katie Glover, Jacob Glover, Shelby Zaricor, Trey Glover, and Cole Glover.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles Richard “Dick” Glover; her parents, Winford and Gerdice Long; her sister, Peggy Woodruff; and her brother, Tommy Long. She is survived by her brother, Jerry Long.
Silvia enjoyed camping and spending time enjoying the water, but her greatest joy was simply being with the people she loved. Her family was her greatest blessing, and the love she gave so freely will continue through the generations and through the many children whose lives she helped shape.
Silvia will be deeply missed by her family, friends, church family, and all those whose lives were touched by her kindness and love. Her legacy of faith, compassion, and devotion to family will live on in all who knew her.
Memorials may be given to Azalea City Church of Christ in memory of Silvia Glover.
