Thomas "Tommy" Michael Bailey
November 13, 1944 – March 12, 2018
Thomas (Tommy) Michael Bailey, Sr. passed away on Monday, March 12, 2018 at Springhill Medical Center. Tommy was born in Mobile, AL and was a 40 year resident of Saraland, AL. Tommy was employed at Mobile Glass Company and later self-employed and was well-known within the North Mobile community for his glass work services. The Bailey family would like to say a special thank you to the Aronson family. Fifteen years ago, the Aronson family graciously donated the organs of their son Pete and on December 19, 2002 Tommy was given a second chance at life when he received Pete’s heart and the Bailey family was granted 15 more years with their husband, father and grandfather. From that year forward Tommy had two birthdays, November 13th and December 19th. His second birthday cake read “Happy Birthday Re-Pete” in honor of Pete. Every Christmas, Mother’s Day and Father’s Day, Tommy always made it a special point to call the Aronson’s. A visitation for Tommy will be held Friday, March 16, 2018, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Radney Funeral Home, 1200 Industrial Pkwy, Saraland, Alabama 36571. In lieu of flowers, the Bailey family requests that donations be made to Donate Life America in memory of Tommy or the American Heart Association in honor of the Aronson family. “Don’t take your organs to heaven. Tommy and Johnnie Mae have always been the best neighbors. When we moved in 15 years ago, Tommy welcomed us with his special kind of humor and we will never forget the relationship that we have built with him and Johnnie Mae. Matthew 22:39 states: "And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'" Tommy always looked out for his neighbors and always showed love. We will miss you and your funny stories but know that you are with God and that you are no longer suffering.

What a perfect remembrance! I guess it wasn’t necessary to rave about his sense of humor. Anyone who knew him saw it! He will be missed by everyone, especially his wonderful wife, kids and grandkids! We give thanks to our gracious Lord for his life and ask that heaven rejoice in his arrival.
