Thomas H. Bonner Jr., was born Aug. 24, 1932 in Quitman, MS to the late Thomas H. Bonner Sr. and Willie Lona McCarra Bonner. He passed away surrounded by those who loved him on May 31, 2021 in Eight Mile, AL. Thomas grew up in Mobile, AL around the Creighton area and graduated from Murphy H.S. in 1952.
He started going to SEA at a young age and it became his passion. Thomas served in the U.S. ARMY and was part of the Korean War. He was a member of Indian Springs Baptist Church, where he received Jesus Christ as His Lord and Savior.
After retiring from going to SEA he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He loved fishing, hunting and watching Alabama football.
Thomas was preceded by his parents and his loving and faithful wife; Aurora Bonner, one step-daughter; Norma Howard, three sisters: Dorothy Bonner Deirigh, Inez Bonner Wright, and Billie Jean Bonner Alridge.
Mr. Bonner leaves behind eleven grandchildren, twenty-three great grandchildren, sixteen great great grandchildren, many loving nieces, nephews and a host of wonderful friends.
The family would like to give special thanks to his caregivers, the VA Nursing staff, and his Hospice Nursing staff for their care and compassion.
