The first job I every had was working for my cousin Wayne roofing homes one summer. That summer, while climbing ladders with shingles on my shoulders onto the sweltering hot roofs was when I came to the realization what real work was and that I needed to go to collage. Wayne was more of a man than I was because I could not do that kind of work for a living.
My Aunt Lucille, who was Wayne's mother, was like a second mother to me and I have many fond memories of my time her & my cousins. My mother & father loved Wayne and all of the Allen children very much and would be saddened, just as I am, of the loss of a loved one.
