Mr. William H. Duke, age 73, passed away on Friday, September 26, 2014. He was born on September 1, 1941 in Weogufka, Alabama. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Betty Duke, daughter, Sandy Jones, grandson, Paul Black and great-grandson Carter Hanson. Mr. Duke was a Chemist with Alabama Power Company, retiring after 23 years of service. Mr. Duke leaves to cherish his memory children, William Duke (Pat), Patsy Duke, grandchildren, Matthew, Joseph, Savannah and Benjamin. He is also survived by great-grandchildren, Chloe, Lola, Carleigh, Alyssa. Dedicated friends William South (Janice), Linda Parker and a host of other family and friends. Visitation will be held at Radney Funeral Home Saraland on Monday, September 29, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 30, 2014 in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Creola Cemetery, Creola, AL. Pallbearers will be Joseph Black, Matthew Black, Benjamin Duke, Alan Powell, Virgil Williams and Justin Hanson.
