

Allen was born in Anderson, Indiana to Edgar and Ila (Kyte) White on October 12, 1926. He graduated from Lincoln Aviation Institute. Allen married Pauline Buonomo on June 27, 1947, and they recently celebrated their 78th wedding anniversary.
Allen had a career in manufacturing and was the Founder and President of Animated Manufacturing Company from 1953-2014. He was a Past President of the South Holland, Illinois Kiwanis Club. Allen had a passion for golf and was a member of the Lincolnshire Country Club in Crete, Illinois and TPC Prestancia in Sarasota, Florida. He was an avid world traveler and enjoyed many trips with Pauline and numerous friends. Allen also loved boating and aviation. He was involved in politics and was a life-long supporter of the GOP. Allen was a proud veteran of WWII as a member of the United States Army Air Forces.
Allen was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar and Ila White; his brother, Richard White, and his son-in-law, Dennis Kapral.
Allen is survived by his wife, Pauline White; daughters, Alice Schafer (Randy) and Paula Kapral (Michael Shain); granddaughters, Lara Heritage (Michael), Heidi Connolly (John), Kiki Kapral (Brad Young), and Kelsey Murphy (Brandon); great-grandchildren, Amber Bryant (Tim), Ryder, Kenzie, and Max Connolly, Aniston, Maddox, Lucas Murphy, and Woody and Cecelia Young; and great-great grandchildren, Arlo and Knox Bryant; and his sister, Ramona Tennison.
Allen spent his final 7 years enjoying living at The Glenridge on Palmer Ranch where he met numerous new friends, including his Thursday Men’s Lunch Bunch. He will forever be remembered for his generosity and knack of telling a good joke.
A private family entombment service will be held on Monday, November 10, 2025 at Sarasota Memorial Park, Sarasota, Florida.
A Celebration of Life will be held at The Glenridge on Palmer Ranch on Saturday, November 15 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm.
