

Andrea Jane Craig passed away peacefully in her home on May 28th, 2014. Jane moved with her husband, Richard Craig, from Rochester, NY to Sarasota in 1993. Previous to that, they lived in Buffalo, NY, and Columbus, OH. Retirement gave them 7 years in Sarasota before her husband’s death in 1999. During their 44 years of marriage, they enjoyed a social life with many friends, and travel. After her husband’s death, Jane worked as a hostess for Palm Aire Country Club and served as secretary for her Homeowner’s Association for 3 years. During her earlier years, Jane enjoyed playing the piano, writing poetry, raising her daughter and son, and working as an insurance secretary. Joy in everyday living brought her contentment in the last ten years.
She is predeceased in death by her husband, Richard; and her parents, Don and Zola Amrine. She is survived by her brother, James Amrine; daughter, Kimberly Hahn; son, Todd Craig; daughter-in-law, Stephanie Craig; and four grandchildren, Jennifer, Katie, John, and Callie.
A Celebration of Life was held at her home on July 18, 2014 and she was inurned at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL shortly after. Memorial donations may be made in Jane’s name to Susan G. Komen Cancer Foundation, PO Box 224523, Dallas, TX or to the American Cancer Society.
