Antonia Colberg Zwicker

Antonia was born to parents Charlotte O. Colberg and Morimichi Okanouye in Berlin, Germany. She lived in Berlin and Japan, before immigrating with her mother to the US from Japan following World War II. Antonia lived in San Francisco, New York and Cambridge, MA. She pursued her Art studies in Paris, France. Antonia met Walter Karl Zwicker in Cambridge, MA and they married on 9 December 1956 at Niagara Falls, NY. Antonia and Walter enjoyed 52 years of marriage before Walter’s passing in 2009.

Antonia and Walter lived primarily in Scarborough, NY during their professional lives in commercial art and chemistry. Antonia was a catalogue art and fashion director for companies such as Abercrombie and Fitch and JC Penny. The couple also lived in Sarasota, FL seasonally before eventually moving there permanently for their retirement years.

Antonia enjoyed the arts and travelling throughout her life. She and Walter regularly travelled to Europe to visit family and friends in Austria and Germany.

Antonia is survived by family and friends in Austria, Germany and the US. She is preceded in death by her husband, Walter K. Zwicker, and her parents, Charlotte and Morimichi.
