Audrey E. Shutters

Audrey was born in East Greenville, Pennsylvania to Arthur J. DeLong, Sr. and Winifred Kline on March 11, 1935. She graduated from East Greenville High School in 1952. Audrey was active in her church, First Congregational United Church of Christ in Sarasota, Florida, and served many years on the Memorial Committee.

Her passions were taking care of her family, cooking, baking and we can’t forget cleaning. Her happy place was walking on the beach and collecting shells.

Audrey was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur J. DeLong, Sr. and Winifred Kline, husband Lee H. Shutters, and brother Arthur J. DeLong, Jr. Audrey is survived by her daughter, Sandra L. Theiss (Terry Scholler).

Audrey is loved and will be missed by her daughter, nieces, nephews, and sister-in-law. From the bottom of my heart, I would like to thank each of you, family and friends, for touching my mom’s life. My dear Mom is now with my dear Dad. I was so blessed to have such loving and caring parents. They shaped me into the person I am today, and I am so thankful. God has blessed us all.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, September 26, 2025 at 11:00 AM at First Congregational United Church of Christ, 1031 South Euclid Avenue, Sarasota FL 34237.
