To the Laidlaw's family:

I'm deeply sorry about your loss. I cherished all the wonderful times I spent with Barbara during the 10 years I worked with her at the Sarasota County Health Department as her Administrative Secretary. I will remember Barbara in many positive ways with a big smile and a great sense of humor.. One phrase she always used to say and my favorite one was "Blessed Your Heart".

Now I say to Renny, Stacy, Jason and all the family...Blessed Your Heart. Sending healing prayers and comforting hugs. God bless you Barbara and thank you for been such a wonderful woman.

Love,
Linda

Barbara and Renny were the first family we met when we moved to Sarasota . We were warmly welcomed and included in their circle of friends. When we moved away, we kept in touch through Christmas cards each year. One year when we didn’t send cards, Barbara informed us that should not happen again as she looked forward to hearing where in the world we had been the previous year.
On Christmas Day 2018, I called to say we were in town and would love to see them. Without hesitation Barbara said, “Come, come, come” and we were included in their Christmas brunch and were invited to stay for Christmas dinner.
To the Family we say the memories of Barbara will live on in your hearts forever.
Remember the promise of Revelation 21:4.
Love,
Mike, Janet and Family

Barbara’s tragic death is a loss to humanity but a time for rejoicing in heaven as she is now with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Upon entering eternity with God, Barbara heard the words, 'Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord'" (Matthew 25:16-23). Barbara and I (Barry) worked side by side at the health department for almost a decade. She was one of the most bright, motivated, honest and kind people I ever worked with. We have remained friends with her and Renny since her retirement. They are wonderful Christians who served their church and the homeless. We will miss Barbara but know we will see her again. We love you Barb and Renny. Love, Barry & Peggy
