Barry Abeshaus passed away August 13. Born in Pottsville, PA in 1935, he was a graduate of University of Connecticut School of Pharmacy. He settled in Pottsville and joined his father in practice at the Yorkville Drug Store. After retiring, he and his wife, Selma (Oldsman) of 62 years, moved to Sarasota, Florida. He was the son of the late Samuel and Edna Abeshaus. He is survived by his children Karen Bromberg (Columbus, OH) and her husband Daniel, Martin (Burlington, MA) and Jon (Charlotte, NC), seven grandchildren (Jennifer, Murphy, David, Kailee, Talia, Sidney, and Donovan), and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be held on Friday, August 18 at 10:00 at Temple Beth Shalom, followed by a private burial. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Beth Shalom Synagogue, Sarasota, FL.
