Bernard and Doris (Albies) Conway, he graduated from Providence College and earned a master’s degree in public administration from the University of Rhode Island. Barry was also a proud veteran of U.S. Air Force. He married Barbara (Katkowski) Conway in 1968, and they raised their children in Cranston, RI and Newburyport, MA, before settling in the Granite State and calling Hampton “home.”

Barry was preceded in death by his sisters, Joan Staton and Patricia Conway; and his brother, Richard Conway.

Barry remained active in the NH veteran community upon retiring in 2013, sitting on various NH state commissions and committees. He was also a member of the American Legion Post 49 (Tilton, NH).
