

Camilla Young, age 81, of Sarasota, FL, passed away on August 14, 2026. She was born in Sturgis, MI on October 17, 1944. Camilla graduated from Sturgis High School and received an Associate degree in Business Administration from Fort Wayne International Business College.
She was married to Grover Young, Jr on January 30, 1965.
Camilla worked as an Executive Secretary at the Kirsch Company in Sturgis before marriage and afterward at the Upjohn Company in Kalamazoo, MI. Grover and Camilla moved to Wyoming, MI in December of 1966 because Grover was teaching in nearby Jenison and Camilla was pregnant with their first child. In 1973 they moved to Holt, MI where they raised their family and lived until 2000 when they moved to Sarasota, FL. Camilla always felt that having a parent at home worked best for her family.
Even though she gave up secretary work after their first child was born, she had many other interests. She did volunteer work at an elementary school and church. She was coordinator of the Reading Is Fundamental Program, and active in the Holt Child Study Club. Camilla enjoyed serving as a member of the hospital volunteer group and became an avid bridge player. She had a passion for reading mystery and romance books, playing a variety of games on her iPad, and doing jigsaw puzzles.
She is survived by her four children, daughter, Angela Bluhm and son-in-law Adam, son, Matthew Young and daughter-in-law Susann, son, Phillip Young, and daughter Monica Dubeau, and son-in-law Daniel. Also surviving are ten grandchildren, Ryan Bluhm, Kelsen Bluhm, Addison Bluhm, and Kyren Bluhm, Timothy Young and Andrew Young, Garrett Young and Griffin Young, Madeleine Dubeau, and Isabelle Dubeau; She is also survived by her brother, Gabriel Hudson, sister-in-law, Nan, and her sister, Ramona Pyret.
