

Carole Ann Finn, 92, of Sarasota, Florida passed away peacefully surrounded by her children on September 9, 2026. Carole was born on August 29, 1934 in Holyoke Massachusetts to the late Edward Joseph Scanlon and Kathleen Shannahan Scanlon.
Carole trained as a nurse at St Francis Hospital School of Nursing in Hartford Connecticut. She began her career caring for premature infants, a calling she returned to more than fifty years later, volunteering with newborns at Doylestown Hospital well into her retirement. She proudly spent many years working as an office manager for a local obstetrics and gynecology office in Doylestown Pennsylvania.
Carole was a devout Catholic. He faith was the center of her life with a strong belief in the power of prayer. She provided support to countless Catholic and medical charities giving assistance directly to people in her community. Carole had a love of reading, flower arranging, playing bridge with friends and most of all spending time with family. In retirement, she had a full life in Ambler, PA, Duck and Wake Forest NC, and Venice FL where she was embraced by good friends and her family.
Carole was predeceased by her husband Richard W Finn of 62 years in 2021. She is survived by her son Richard W Finn, Jr, his wife Brenda Finn and their son Matthew Finn; Her daughter Elizabeth Finn Tuohey, her husband Wayne Touhey and their daughters Alanah and Nia Tuohey; her son David T Finn, his partner Carrie Bingham and their son Jack Bingham. She is also survived by her sister Kathleen King and many nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on October 19, 11:00 a:m, at The Olde Church of Saint Andrew, 15 S Sycamore St, Newtown, Pa 18940. Interment will be held at 1:15 pm at The Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Rd, Newtown, Pa 18940.
