Carolyn Thrower Stinson, age 83 of Sarasota, FL passed away May 30, 2018. She was born September 18, 1934 in Shreveport, LA to Harold Whitfield Thrower and Laura Verlie Thrower. Carolyn attended Alcee Fortier High School in New Orleans, LA. She enjoyed being a member of the Golden City Woman’s Club. Carolyn is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John Earl Stinson; and her sister, Verlie “Mootzie” Barger. She will be forever missed by her sons, Barry (Pam) Stinson, and Mark (Cheryl) Stinson; and her grandchildren, Kyle Stinson, Michael Stinson, Samantha Stinson, and John Stinson. Visitation will take place on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 from 9-10 am at Palms-Robarts Memorial Park in the Mausoleum off of Fruitville Rd. A Memorial Service will take place immediately following the Visitation.
