

Clyde Yancey Jr., 81, of Sarasota, Florida entered the Gates of Heaven on May 8, 2025. He was deeply loved by his wife of 59 years, Charlene, son Steven, and daughter Lori. He was Pop-Pop and Grandpa to 4 grandchildren, Megan Yancey Boss (Ryan), Trenton Yancey (Brittany), Allison Yancey, and Ava Yancey. He was also proud of his 5 great-grandsons, Jace, Levi, Arlo, Everett, and Remington as well as 2 great-granddaughters Saphfirie and SkyLynn. He is survived by his brothers, Ronald (Judy), Bruce (RuthAnn), Eugene (Sharon), Christopher (Cindy), and sister, Brenda Kolb (Jim), and preceded in death by his infant brother Keith.
Jr. was born in Lowville, New York to Clyde and Estella (Zehr). He moved with his family to Myakka City in 1958, and married Charlene Birky in 1965. They remained in Myakka City, managing Clyde Yancey and Sons Dairy until purchasing it in 1985. They changed the name to Double C Dairy and continued farming for many years. They retired in 2014 and moved to Sarasota, where they enjoyed their retirement years.
They purchased a 5th wheel camper and spent several summers traveling throughout the US and Canada. His love of Nascar races, tractor shows, and antique car shows were enjoyed during those travels as well as many trips to the Smoky Mountains in Tennessee and visiting family in New York. His dream trips to Ireland, Australia and New Zealand were on his bucket list and they enjoyed each one.
Clyde Jr. was a wonderful husband, dad, grandpa, and great grandpa who will be greatly missed by all.
Friends and family may gather to celebrate Clyde's life starting at 2:30 PM on Wednesday, May 14, 2025 at Robert Toale and Sons Funeral Home at Palms Memorial Park. A funeral service will follow at 2:45 PM officiated by Pastor Dave Barkema. Burial will take place at Palms Memorial Park.
