Dale was a man of quiet nature and a deep love for his family. He was known for his strong work ethic and a Master at “fixing anything.” He lived a life of wisdom, example, and unconditional love.
Dale was a graduate of Ohio State University, with a degree in Electrical Engineering. His first and only job was with The Lincoln Electric Co. in Cleveland, Ohio for 38 years. He took great pride in his career as well as every endeavor he undertook. He was a member of the Theta Tau Fraternity, the oldest and largest professional Engineering fraternity in the U.S.
Dale and Charlotte were married for 70 wonderful years. Together they raised their three children, and were proud grandparents to five grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren, and another on the way. His greatest joy was camping, fishing, and sailing with his son, Douglas. He was a 32° Mason, Ham Radio Operator, active in his church, and built and collected clocks.
After retiring to Florida, Dale and Charlotte traveled the U.S. and made many wonderful memories. Unfortunately, Dementia took those memories several years ago. Charlotte’s love and dedication to her beloved husband during his long journey is unmatched.
His family expresses their thanks for the love and support by the staff, Hospice and Memory Care of Grand Living.
