Dallas Seymour, 79, of Sarasota passed away at Doctor's Hospital of Sarasota on Sunday, November 10, 2019. He was born in Apalachicola, FL on December 8, 1939. Dallas was a member and officer in the Future Farmers of America. He liked to fish; and was a Country & Western singer and played guitar. Dallas loved God and his family.
He graduated from Sarasota High School in 1960; served in the USAF from 1961 to 1966; was employed by the State of Florida as a Park Ranger/Maintenance Mechanic; and retired from Myakka State Park in 2001.
Dallas was preceded in death by his parents, Ethel and Joseph Seymour; daughter, Cynthia Riggs; son-in-law, David Riggs; sister, Betty Meredith; and brother-in-law, Paul Meredith. He is survived by his wife, Marilyn; children, Malinda Bakara (David), and Dallas Seymour; grandchildren, Brett Williams, Blake Williams (Tori), Dylan Riggs (Emilee), Cearra Seymour (Joe Winkle), Tiffany Bright (BJ), Caitlyn Seymour (Paul Elms), Brendon Seymour; great grandchildren, Payton Williams, Addison Winkle, Luke Bright, Brody Riggs, Scarlet Elms, Kole Williams, Brynlee Riggs; and siblings, Darrell Seymour (Judy), and Judy Scarbrough (Dan).
