Deborah Kaye Wilkinson-Moore also known as “Deb” and “Debbie” passed away unexpectedly on the morning of October 21, 2025, at the young age of 71, while having morning coffee and watching tv shows and laughing with her husband, Rick in their living room of their Sarasota, FL Villa.
Deb and her husband Rick have been residing in Sarasota for the past 3 years after moving from Fremont, MI where they formerly resided and raised a family for 40+ years.
She was known for her infectious laughter and bright smile, always happiest when surrounded by family and friends. A creative spirit at heart, she loved arts, sewing, and crafts — especially her Stampin’ Up projects and beautiful handmade cards. She never missed a chance to play bingo or join a good card game, and she brought the same enthusiasm to football brackets, the daily Wordle, and her love of holidays filled with décor, games, and cherished memories. A queen of garage sales and thrift stores, she delighted in discovering treasures and sharing them with others. Whether reading and discussing books, cooking and sharing meals, or enjoying a lucky day at the casino, she embraced life with warmth, humor, and connection. Her favorite times were the annual family reunions — Moore’s, Wilkinson’s, Overmyer’s, Bernhardt’s, and McDermott’s — where laughter, stories, and love always filled the air.
Deb, Debbie, Deborah, Mom, Wife, Love of Life, Aunt, Grandma (Grammie), Sister, Niece, Cousin, and Friend was a rare gem you meet in life. She had a personality that was so expressive and loving, fun, energetic, caring, and alive, it’s why she was everyone’s favorite. She would make a lasting impression on you that lived in your heart and memory for a lifetime. Deb possessed a laugh and smile that truly will be missed but never forgotten. She devoted her life to her children, husband, grandchildren, family and friends. She was always there for her family and if she was able to, she would be there in person supporting you, and at the very least you had better expect a handmade card in the mail from her to show you her love and tell you a few heartfelt words of compassion.
Deb loved to live life, and has so many memories encompassed in pictures as well as in the lives of loved ones she cared for, laughed, traveled, experienced and thrived in life with. She was the glue and foundation of her immediate Wilkinson family underneath her look-a-like twin of her mother Maybelle as well as the stronghold and central heart of her own Moore Family. She was truly devoted to her husband, Rick Moore and her children, Kadie (Tony), Jeff (Julie), Tyler; and her grandchildren, Emily, Asher, Hailey, Kelsey, Ryley, Tobey, and Bradey and did EVERYTHING and more for them, and yet still wished she could do more.
Deb was truly happiest when surrounded by her Family and Friends. Her impact will always be embraced. There are not enough words to describe her, to detail her heart and personality, explain who she was, what she accomplished, and how she impacted everyone around her.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Camelot Lakes Pkwy, Sarasota FL, 34233. Luncheon at noon with open mic remembrance starting at 1:30 PM. Please RSVP to 231-736-8798.
WE LOVE YOU SO MUCH. WE MISS YOU. Our lives are forever changed and impacted. She was a near perfect Mother, Wife, Grandmother (Grammie), Sister, Aunt, Niece, Cousin and Friend.
SHE COULD DO IT ALL AND SHE WAS EVERYTHING.
