

Dennis Martin Culver, 76, of Sarasota passed away peacefully on Monday, February 15, 2016 with his loving family by his side. Dennis was born on October 16, 1939 in Middletown, Connecticut to the late Harry R. and Grace H. Culver.
Dennis was a United States Marine Veteran, an avid Dallas Cowboys Fan and a New York Yankees Fan. After his military service he opened up his first business, Nu-Look, a paint store. Dennis then worked as a property manager for Garden Homes Mgmt Corp in Stamford, CT for 25 years.
Dennis enjoyed Fishing, Hunting, Bowling, Gardening, CB radio, Ham radio and Coaching. Dennis supported his local community in Naugatuck, CT by coaching the Yankees little league baseball team for 17 years. He also spent time coaching The Patriots Jr. Football team.
Dennis and Dorothy Culver contracted the building of their Naugatuck, CT home together before moving to Sarasota, FL where he worked as a property manager for 10 years. Dennis retired in 2006 due to health complications from rare blood cancer and subsequent stroke. Dennis went on to beat cancer and make a full recovery from the stroke.
Survivors include his loving wife, Dorothy Culver; sons, Dennis Culver, William (Shirley) Culver, Shawn (Tracy) Culver, Troy (Alicia) Culver, Todd Culver(Ashleigh), Dennis Balisciano(Fiancé: Kerry Chaney), Gary Balisciano, Robert DuBois; daughters, Barbara Atlas(Ben), Pamela Elliott(Jim), Dawn DuBois(Jim), Stephanie Balisciano(Fiancé: Mike Mongeau). He also leaves his brother Allen Culver and Sister–in–law Virginia Culver, wife of the late Ronnie Culver. Cherished grandchildren, Austin Culver, Brooke Culver, DJ Culver, Sissy Culver-Thomas, Rachael Culver, Lisa Culver, Brittany Celata, Nicholas Elliot(Fiancé: Tracy Rosenzweig), Scott Elliot, Connor DuBois, Joshua Balisciano, Jayden Balisciano, Justyn Balisciano, Jacob Balisciano, Dylan Balisciano, Makayla Balisciano. Nieces and nephews, Robert St. Onge, Cherie (Rick) Miller, Amy Ragis, Adam Culver, Michelle Coon. 4 great-grandchildren, Jamison Thomas, Mia Thomas, Mikey Culver, Hailey Culver. Brother and Sister In-Laws: Patricia (Kevin) Spisto, Joseph Dorso, Michael (Arlene) Dorso, Kathy (John) Haschak, Lillian Dorso, Peter (Sherrie) Dorso, Paula (John) Rossi, James (Linda) Dorso, Holly (Lou) Gallick, and several nieces and nephews.
Dennis was predeceased by a sister Sharon Culver-St. Onge, a brother Ronald Culver, brother-in-law Frances Johnson, grandson Nicholas Culver, and the late Michael Sr. and Lucille Dorso.
