Donald E Pecor

Don was born in Winooski, Vermont on December 1, 1931 to parents Ernest and Albia(Levesque) Pecor.

In 1948, Don enlisted in the Naval Reserves to serve his country. After his service in the Naval Reserves, he went on to enlist in the US Army. During his time in the Army, Don served as a paratrooper. Following discharge from the Army, he enlisted in the US Air Force. Don spent the first 3 years of his Air Force service in France. Upon his return to the United States, he served as a loadmaster. Don would end up being deployed 3 times to Vietnam during the Vietnam War. He completed 353 combat support missions. After coming home, Don would serve as a flight instructor and supervisor. He assisted in the opening of several flight schools in the US Air Force. Then, Don became the advisor to the Air National Guard in New York. In 1974, after 24 years of dedicated service, Don retired.

During his retirement, he bought a dairy farm in New York. After 15 years, he sold the farm and moved to Osprey, Florida. In 1996, Don met second wife, Elaine. In 1998, they married. In his free time, Don was an avid hunter and fisherman. He especially loved his hunting trips to Colorado, Texas, and Montana. When Don was not traveling for hunting, he and Elaine would travel around the United States.

Don is predeceased by his parents; first wife, Vinetta; his oldest son, Brent; and his sister, Alice.

He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Elaine; sons, Bradley(Lisa) of Texas and Bryan(Karen) of Venice, Florida; stepson Brian(Katina) of Myakka City, Florida; grandchildren Lindi(Daniel) Greene of Beverly Hills, Florida, Lauren(Chris) Day of Texas, Vincent Pecor of Colorado, Dusten(Denise) Pecor of California; step-granddaughter Miranda(Eric) Pollion of Minnesota and step-grandson Joseph Biegel of Montana, Bryson Biegel, and Mason Agnelli; 7 great-grandchildren and many other beloved extended family and friends.

A private Celebration of Life to be held by the family at a later date.
