OBITUARY

Dorothy B Fraser

August 28, 1926 – October 4, 2023
IN THE CARE OF

Robert Toale & Sons Funeral Home at Palms Memorial Park

Dorothy Brua Fraser, 8/28/26-10/4/23

Dorothy B. Fraser, 97, of Bradenton, Florida, passed away peacefully on October 4, 2023. Dorothy was born in Niagara Falls, NY, and was the beloved daughter of George and Jean Brua and the dear sister to Robert, all previously deceased.

After marrying her college sweetheart, Samuel Fraser, they moved to Scotch Plains, NJ. She was a teacher for over 40 years as well as the director of Holy Cross Nursery School in North Plainfield, NJ. After retiring, she and Sam moved to Bradenton, FL, where she kept busy teaching adults through various literacy programs. She was also very engaged in her community of Lakeside South and was the social director there for many years. Sam passed away in 2007.

Dorothy was a “mother” to many and was loved by all for her kind spirit and pure heart. She was a vibrant, strong woman who enjoyed life and she loved to travel, entertain, and most of all, read. She was interested in everything and everyone, and her enthusiasm for life serves as an inspiration to her family.

She is survived by her three loving daughters, Elizabeth, Victoria and Laurie, five grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.

“She whom we love and lose is no longer where she was before. She is now wherever we are.” We will miss you everyday, mom.

At this time, there are no funeral or memorial services scheduled. The family requests that no flowers be purchased or sent. However, they would encourage donations to be made via Alzheimer’s Association, alz.org, in memory of Dorothy Fraser.
