She is survived by her children, Sandy Andersen of Denmark, Chris Talbot of Orlando, and Laura O'Neill of Cape Cod, MA, as well as her grandson Adrian Andersen of Denmark. She is preceded in death by her husband, John S. Talbot.
Dottie, as she preferred, had a long and varied career as a telephone operator, actor, singer, Real Estate broker, and even teacher at MCC. She taught Real Estate before getting her masters in English as a Second Language, then taught that as well. Finally, her love of traveling led her to become a travel agent.
As an avid historian and world-traveler, Dottie has been all over the U.S., Canada, and Europe. She's also taken trips to Japan and China. In later years, however, her biggest joy was watching her great-grandson, Marvin, run around the house.
Memorial services will be on Sunday, July 10 at Palms-Robarts Funeral Home, starting with a meeting of family and friends at 1:00p.m.
