While we rejoice in his Heavenly arrival, it is with deep sorrow that we announce the earthly departure of Dr. Dwain F. Marquette, DDS, on Good Friday, March 30, 2018 from Bradenton, Florida. Dwain was born in Red Wing, MN the Summer of ‘29, married Beverly Sutton in ‘48, conquered the University of Illinois dental program in ‘61, and migrated to his beloved Florida in ‘72. His vast resume included steam-engine train stoker, brick layer, propane seller, home builder, bridge maker (dental, that is), real estate flipper, truck packer, landscaper, organ player, and advice giver ... not necessarily in that order. To Dwain, a lot was to build upon and the house, a remodeling project. He retired at age 78 having touched the lives, and teeth, of thousands. He was one hard-working man, he loved his family dearly, and he became sweeter as his days went by. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother (Gary), a daughter (Connie), and a grandson (Weston). He is survived by his brother (Gayle), his wife of 70 years (Beverly), five children (Jay, Craig, Diane, Brian, and Brent and their beloved spouses Lynn, David, Renee and Debbie), 13 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren, each one precious in his sight. Dwain’s earthly home was laid to rest April 4; and, a memorial service will be held at the Palms-Robarts Funeral Home April 21, 2018. Visitation will be at 10:00 AM with a memorial service at 10:30 AM. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations may be made to Tidewell Hospice- Philanthropy Department, 5955 Rand Blvd, Sarasota, FL 34238
