Edward A Hoffman Jr., age 88, of Sarasota, Florida passed away on Saturday, March 13, 2021. He was born on September 1, 1932 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Dorothy Motz and Edward Hoffman.

Edward proudly served in the United States Navy on the USS Coral Sea. He enjoyed woodworking in his free time. Edward was involved with Skylake Community in Sautee, Georgia as a board member and resident for over 30 years.

Edward is survived by his daughter Judy M. Karn (Don); and his four sons, Edward W. Hoffman (Lisa); Steven H. Hoffman (Kathy); Gary J. Hoffman; and Curt G Hoffman (Kim). He is also survived by eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Edward was preceded in death by his wife Arlene C. Hoffman of 58 years.

A committal service with military honors will be held at Sarasota National Cemetery on Friday, April 23, 2021 at 11:30 AM, located at 9810 State Rd 72, Sarasota, FL 34241
