Eilene E Hurley

Eilene worked in the aerospace industry at Lear Siegler. She started working as an assembler and worked her way up to becoming an inspector. After 30 years of dedicated service, Eilene retired.

In her retirement, Eilene greatly enjoyed traveling the world. She was so passionate about traveling and experiencing other countries. Eilene worked various part-time jobs to help make these adventures happen. When Eilene was not traveling and working part-time, she volunteered her time at the American Legion and voting poll stations.

Upon her daughter June's retirement, both ladies moved to Sarasota, Florida, where Eilene stayed until her passing. Eilene could always be seen reading a book or working on her crossword puzzles.

Eilene is predeceased by her parents; oldest son, Richard A West; grandson, Richard A West Jr. Eilene is the last survivor of 10 children.

Eilene is survived by her devoted daughter, June Varkales; loving sons, Barry West of Tampa, Fl and Bryan West of Sarasota, Fl; beloved grandchildren, Kimberly(Kevin) Buckowing, Malissa(Larry) DeVormer, Angela(Matthew) Fletcher, Zachary Varkales, and Cheri West; 6 great-grandchildren; 2 great great-grandchildren; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday August 13, 2026 6pm-9pm at Malissa and Larry DeVormer's home in Michigan.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Eilene's name to your local animal shelter.
