She was born Oct. 24, 1920, in Pittsburgh, Pa., and retired to Sarasota during the early 1980s.
She was employed by the Federal Reserve Bank in Pittsburgh.
Eleanor is survived by her son, James Kirley of Vero Beach; grandson, Brian Kirley of Henderson, NV.; daughter-in-law, Constance Kirley of Vero Beach; and nephew, Ronald Ferry of Sarasota.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary and Frank Spirk; and her sister, Irene Ferry.
Eleanor was a long-time parishioner at Church of the Incarnation in Sarasota, where a memorial service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 19. Interment was in Sarasota Memorial Park.
