Eugenio Frank Pittelli, age 77, of Venice, Florida, and formerly of Albany, New York, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 11, 2025. He was born on October 18, 1947, in New York, New York, to the late Giuseppe and Giuseppina Pittelli.
Gene was a proud graduate of Samuel J. Tilden High School, Class of 1965, as well as SUNY Sullivan Community College and CUNY Baruch College.
As a teenager, Gene was the catcher for the 1962 NYS Pony League Championship team. After serving in the United States Army as a Sergeant, Gene built a successful career in the hospitality industry, owning and operating several hotels and restaurants over the years.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Victor, Bruno, Carmine, and Jerry.
Gene is survived by his loving wife, Wendy Pittelli, and his daughters, Emilia Pittelli and Francesca Amico (Jeffrey).
Gene will be inurned at Sarasota National Cemetery, and a celebration of life will be held in March.
