Evy Loo Greene

She graduated from Traverse City High School in 1946 and married Robert “Buffalo” Greene that same year on November 1.

Evy was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister Hedzee Benne Hutson, son Kelly Greene, grandsons Robert H Greene, Joseph Greene, and Cody Greene.

She is survived by her children Bradley G Greene (Cathy), Nancy G Lourie (Fr. Stephen Lourie), Robert S Greene (Susan). Her grandchildren Elisabeth Evans, Nathaniel Lourie, Robert C Lourie, Mary Lourie, Matt Greene, Katie Greene, B. J. Greene, Jesse Greene, and Ashley Greene. Her great grandchildren Hunter Greene, Reagan Lourie, Jackson Lourie, Tekoa Lourie, and Scout Lourie, Cassidy Evans, Zarriah Evans, Theodora Evans, Asher Bramel, Ford Bramel.

Evy was an avid reader, crochet artist (making dozens of afghans for family and friends), and a great cook. She will be forever remembered for baking the world’s best apple pies. She was a member of Holy Spirit Orthodox Church in Venice Florida.

A graveside memorial service will be held on Monday, October 21 at 2 pm at Tatum Ridge Cemetery, located at 601 Tatum Ridge Rd., Sarasota Florida.
