

Filip Wasilewski, 35, of Sarasota, Florida passed away on November 12th, 2023. He was born on May 14th, 1988 in Warsaw, Poland. He moved from Poland to Sarasota in 1991, where he spent most of his life.
Filip was born with cerebral palsy and against all odds grew up to be a happy, loving, and upbeat person. He brought joy and laugher to everyone around him. After graduating from Oak Park at age 22, he went on to attend programs at United Cerebral Palsy.
Filip was a great fan of music and Sponge Bob. He loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed going to restaurants, being outdoors, and on the go. He had the most fun at the Camp Florida Fish Tales, and was an enthusiastic team member of the Venice Challenger Baseball Team.
Filip is survived by his parents Krystyna and Kerry Hinton, his step-brother Brian Hinton, his aunts Anna and Malgosia, uncle Kim, his first cousins Dorota and Michal with their families.
A wake will be held on Friday, November 17th at the Robert Toale & Sons Funeral Home at 170 Honore Ave., Sarasota Fl, 34232, with a service at 6 pm following with visitation at 6:30. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 18th, at the Incarnation Catholic Church, 2901 Bee Ridge Rd, Sarasota, FL 34239, starting with visitation at 12 pm and Mass at 1 pm, followed by the procession to the Sarasota Memorial Park at 2:30.
