Frances Cashmore Kastor

She was born on October 28, 1938, in Live Oak, Florida to Quarterman and Florence Cashmore.

Frances Kastor was a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother whose family meant everything to her. She loved deeply, gave selflessly, and devoted her life to caring for those she loved.

A woman of faith, strength, and kindness, Frances touched the hearts of everyone who knew her. Her sweet spirit, loving ways, and devotion to her family will never be forgotten. Though she will be deeply missed, the love and beautiful memories she gave us will remain in our hearts and live on through generations.

Frances retired after several years working in the transportation department for the Sarasota County School Board.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Quarterman and Florence Cashmore; her husband, Ray Gordon Kastor; her son, David Ray Kastor.

Frances is survived by her children, Bonnie Danielo Sharp, Frances Ann Masterson, Kathern Lea Mixon (Don), Donnie Gordon Kastor (Kathy), Ronnie Gordon Kastor (Nan), and Marilyn Kastor (CJ); 16 beloved grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.

A Graveside Service will be held at Palms Memorial Park, 170 Honore Avenue, Sarasota, FL 34232, on September 23, 2026, at 10:00 am.
