Born on February 21st, 1940, in Brooklyn, New York, Frank was the eldest son of Erasmo and Carmela Scotti, who would also go on to have three additional children: Pasquale, Johnny, and Fortune. Frank proudly served his country by joining the Army and serving for two years before being Honorably Discharged. He would eventually meet his future wife, Dina Scotti, at a Fourth of July party. The two would marry in 1966 and eventually have two children, Frankie and Carmela, while living in Queens, New York. In 1977, the family moved to Sarasota, Florida, and many years later had a third child, Robert. Frank worked as an auto mechanic throughout his life, starting at the age of 12, assisting at his father’s service station. He eventually opened his own service station in New York and moved the business to Sarasota when the family moved. Frank proudly owned the well-known Scotti’s Automotive service station until his retirement.
Frank had a zest for life and treasured the simple pleasures that brought him joy—bowling, a good whiskey, and coffee. He also loved decorating their home for the Christmas holiday, a tradition he shared with Dina, whose love for the season matched his own.
Frank is survived by his three children, Frankie, Carmela, and Robert, and by his granddaughter, Sabrina, and great-grandson Othello. He is also survived by his three siblings, Pasquale, Johnny, and Fortune—numerous nieces and nephews and extended family. He is preceded in death by his parents, Erasmo and Carmela Scotti, and his beloved wife, Dina Scotti.
