

Francis (Frank) Shea, 77 of West Falmouth died on June 13, 2016 at the Tidewell Hospice House in Sarasota, FL after a long battle with cancer. He was the widower of Barbara A. Shea, wife of 53 years. They both lived in West Falmouth for many years.
He was born in Boston to Vincent and Glenn Shea into a large family. Upon graduating from South Boston High, he joined the family’s plumbing business and became a long time member of Plumbers Local Union #12, a 60-year member. Later he was appointed the State of Massachusetts Plumbing Inspector for the balance of his career. He served in many leadership positions for his union, and taught math to the apprentices for close to twenty years at the Wentworth Institute in Boston.
Frank was also active for many years with the Knights of Columbus Council #180 in Boston before moving to Falmouth.
He is lovingly remembered by his four children, Francis Shea, jr. of Bradenton, FL, David Shea of Long Beach, CA, Jo-Anne Shea of Weymouth, MA, and Susan Corrieri of Omaha, NE; and five grandchildren, Casey Shea of Brooklyn, NY, Ryan Shea of Bradenton, FL, Micheál Shea of Jefferson, CO and Devin and Braeden Corrieri of Omaha, NE. He also leaves his sisters Anne Collins of Albuquerque, NM and Victoria Shea of Milton, MA. and his dearly loved dog Patrick.
A Memorial Service will be planned in Falmouth in late July.
