Francoise Estel

On December 26, 1957, Francoise Cherilus married Gerard Estel (deceased) at St. Anne Church.

Mr. Gerard was the 5th, of 9th children. All predeceased her: “Acelia, Andre, Miracia, Charite, Francoise (Mom, Ooouwa for the one whom known her), Erzulie, Regina (Egerie, Jean, and the last one was a little boy(john) To those who love Mom She was ”ooouwa”

Ooouwa was a great businesswoman. True story, she borrowed $1.00 US dollar from my uncle Jean (deceased). And she turned that dollar into a Store Front Super Market right before everyone’s eye in the neighborhood. Mom raised us well. She said to me and my deceased Brother Lafortune Estel, we need to do two things in life: “Love everyone, and Respect everyone." Mother believes in Education. She said I did not know how to read well but you two will know how to read and write well and she stood well behind it until she stood behind until she took her last breath Thursday June 25TH, 2026. Mother did not want a single person in the neighborhood to go hungry, and this is why she offered and give credit to all who ask for it even when they will not pay back. Mother knows the Lord and has a good relationship with her Creator, Maker, Redeemer, and Savior Jesus Christ of Nazareth.

Mother is survived by her son Chaplain Gerald Estel. Her cousin Regina Jules, her grandsons and grand- daughter: Christopher G., Matthew A., and Noadia I. Estel. Her daughters in law: Maryse Lubin, and Aline F., & Megan Estel. Daughters: Evelyne Jn Denis, and Ruth, Gabriel, Mattieu, Margareth and Gertrude Chery, Mary Myriam Estel, Sabine Devilme & family, Pauline and Mireille Bissainte, Nerlande Bissainthe Nadia Massillon, Giselle Massillon, Her nieces and nephews: Pierre Richard Estel & Family, Jean Daniel Estel, Patrick Gay, Dominique Pierre, Gary Gabriel, Pierre Richard Bienvenue, Magalie Jules, Mireille Germain, Jacqueline Jean. And the rest of cousins, nieces, nephews, family, friends affected by this Lost.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, July 10, 2026 at Robert Toale and Sons Funeral Home at Palms Memorial Park with burial to follow in the cemetery.

Visitation will be held prior to the service starting at 9:00 AM,
