Frank Wertz

Frank graduated from Riverview High School in Sarasota, Florida in 1962. He was married to his high school sweetheart, Trudy Hill on July 26, 1964, celebrating 62 years of marriage this year.

Frank spent most of his life working in the textiles industry at National Linen Service before later transitioning into finance at Sarasota Credit Union.

He was faithful in his relationship with the Lord and a devout Christian. He was a member of Bible Baptist Church in Bradenton, Florida.

Frank loved spending time with his family, collecting trains, and playing the trumpet.

He was a very kind, gentle soul who would go out of his way to help anyone without ever asking for anything in return.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Nellie Wertz; and a brother, Bill Wertz.

He is survived by his wonderful wife, Trudy Wertz; son and daughter in law, Doug and Angie Wertz; and grandchildren, Colin, Austin and Taylor; as well as a host of extended family and friends.

Services will be held on Thursday, August 20, 2026 at 6:00 pm at Robert Toale and Sons Funeral Home at Palms Memorial Park, 170 Honore Ave, Sarasota, FL 34232 with the Pastor Bruce Hancock officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until service time.
