He was born July 14, 1927 in Philadelphia, PA to Edward and Elizabeth Wagner. The family moved to Brooklyn NY, and he attended Yeshiva, after which he attended Erasmus HS.
Frank enlisted in the Navy in 1945 at age 16, and upon discharge continued with his military service in Active Navy Reserve for 16 additional years. He and his father and sister, Mildred, ran Leaf Transportation, which enabled him to become and expert driver in the New York City area.
Frank was young at heart, enjoyed playing bridge, and loved being with family and friends. He enjoyed his social connections throughout his life and easily made new friends.
Frank is survived by his beloved family: daughter, Jane Betrus (son-in-law Robert), grandchildren Pete Betrus (Leslie) and great-granddaughter Addison, and Rachel Popp (Craig) and great-granddaughter Nina and great-grandson Archer, and his daughter-in-law Carol Buist Wagner. He is also survived by his beloved nephew and family: Steven Goldman (Beth) and great-nephews Eric (Elina) and Douglas Goldman. He is survived by his first wife Ruth Wagner, as well as many other loving family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his loving son, Mark Wagner, and his beloved second wife, Marilyn.
