
He was born March 5, 1943, in Boulder, Colorado, to the late Godfred “Fred” Weber and Grace Josephine “Jo” Acton Weber of Longmont, Colorado. Fred was a 1969 graduate of the University of Colorado Boulder, where he was a proud member of the Delta Tau Delta fraternity. He maintained lifelong friendships with many of his fraternity brothers.
A Colorado native who lived in the state for 45 years, Fred was a devoted fan of the CU Buffaloes and Denver Broncos. He was an avid and talented woodworker, known for designing and creating practical and meaningful pieces for his home and family.
Fred was a natural problem-solver, a skilled wordsmith, and a lifelong fan of rodeo and sports. He was also a technology enthusiast who embraced learning and innovation throughout his life. Above all, he was a dedicated friend and family man.
His hallmark big smile and infectious laugh reflected his joyful, optimistic, and empathetic spirit. Fred never met a stranger and left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
Fred was preceded in death by wife, Sharon L. Shanahan-Weber, his parents and his sisters, Charlene Biggs and Willa Jean Golliher.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his beloved partner, Phyllis Millirons, his precious children, Erick Weber, Megan Weber-Hogan (John), Tad Blake-Weber (Natalie), Dorothy Wagner (Robert), Patrick Shanahan (Sharon), Matthew Shanahan (Lyn Burton) and Kathryn Baston (Jerry), his adored grandchildren, Sarah Lanham (Damond), Colin Shanahan (Gabby) and Margaret “Maggie” Shanahan (Jake), Peter Hogan, Brett Hogan and Theodore “Teddy” Hogan, Bodie Weber, Elijah Weber, Zoe Blake-Weber, Nathan Wagner, Hudson Wagner and his adored great-grandchildren, Jack, Kahi, Russell, Ezra, Olivia, Harlyn, Charlotte and Emily.
In keeping with Fred’s wishes, he will be cremated, and a Celebration of Life will be held in Saugatuck, MI at a later date. Please check back for date and time.
