

George will be remembered as a loving, selfless, and caring husband, father, and grandfather. George had a strong faith in the Greek Orthodox religion and also served on the council at St.George in Schererville, IN and St. Barbara in Sarasota, FL. He enjoyed volunteering at the church on Sundays and spending time with his Grandkids Georgios, Christos, and Giannis. George was a family man, and he lived for his grandkids. George came to the United States at a young age speaking only Greek, but worked his way into a successful Restaurant owner. George moved to Florida in 2013 where he spent his time retired cherishing all the moments with his family. George leaves behind a legacy of a kind man who was loved by many.
He is survived by his loving Wife Soumela Amanatidis, son Nektarios, brother Savvas, and sister Tasoula and all of their families.
His parent’s Panagiotis and Despina Amanatidis precede him in death along with his brothers Christos, Stavros, and Nikolaos.
A visitation for George will be held, Thursday, April 28, 2022 from 10AM to 11:30AM at St. Barbara’s Greek Orthodox Church 7671 Lockwood ridge Road Sarasota, FL 34243, followed by a Funeral Service at 11:30AM. A Committal service will occur Thursday, April 28, 2022 at 1:00 PM Palms Memorial Park 170 Honore Ave, Sarasota Florida 34232.
