Mr. York was born in Cullman, Alabama on January 31, 1937. He graduated from St. Bernard High School in 1955 and Vanderbilt University with degrees in Economics and Accounting. Mr. York worked for Florida Power & Light for 28 years, retiring in 1993 and was a member of the Tennessee Air National Guard.
He is preceded in death by his life partner, Ross A. Ellwood, Jr., his parents, Charles O. York, Sr. and Eula A. York, his brother, Charles York, Jr. and his nephew, Charles David York.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at 10:00 AM at the First Congregational United Church of Christ. A private burial will take place at Cullman Cemetery in Cullman, Alabama.
