We miss Dr. Oynick so much. He was our doctor for over 15 years. He was a wonderful caring person. When I first moved to Florida he told me tans are for tourists! So true I hope the family is well.

I was a pharmaceutical sales representative who called on Dr. Oynick several times over the years.  He was always super nice to me.
He was great with his patients as well.  He loved his work.
Years later we met by chance.  He remembered my name and we had a wonderful conversation.  It was as if no time passed at all.

Hoy julio 18 de 2022, mi primera cita con el terapeuta Menno, vio en mis documentos que yo conocía al Dr. Guillermo Oynick, y comenté que fue mi PC cuando tuve otro seguro médico hace ya algunos años. El Terapeuta me corrigió  porque le pregunté que si lo conocía a lo que el respondió  "fué un excelente Doctor y persona". Me sorprendió y me explico que había pasado a mejor vida.
Soy nacida Mexicana, del Distrito Federal (CDMX), Cuando tuve la fortuna y honor de conocerlo, fui su paciente y comentábamos muchas cosas de nuestro país y colonias. Yo de la Roma, y creo que El de la Condesa, por lo que nos llamábamos "vecinos".
El se tituló de la ULSA, yo practicaba gimnasia olímpica en esas instalaciones algunos años después de que El  se Titulara. Y nos venimos a conocer acá,  en Venice Florida, cosas de la vida.
Un placer haberlo conocido y haber puesto en sus manos mi salud.
Doc, siempre sonriente, simpático, atento, profesional, muy humano, GRAN SER, BELLISIMA PERSONA y como decimos en nuestro país, "Hasta luego Doctor Oynick, PAISANO"

So sorry to read after all this time that Dr.Oynick had passed away. I use to own The Village Florist in Nokomis and remembered that you like Alstromerium.

I just found out about this sad news. I don't think I have ever met a man who loved his family as much as he. I remember when he shared he was getting married... and always KIND to all of the nurses.  A wonderful sense of humor, and so very supportive in my times of need. My sincerest condolences to Flora, Josh, and Jessica...now an angel on our shoulders.

Condolences to the family.  Dr. Oynick was my doctor for a very short time - but he was fantastic.  Very knowledgeable & extremely caring.  He truly cared about people.  I am very saddened to learn of his passing.  May God bless & rest his soul.  As a patient I saw the face of God in him.  So sorry.

My condolences to his family.  I just found out moments ago.  He was my physician for the past few years and I can truly say he was the best doctor I have ever met. He was such a king, caring, compassionate and gentle man.  I truly felt he cared about me and my family.  I am deeply saddened by this loss for everyone.  He will be greatly missed. Dr. O was my Family Doctor. He treated my Mother and Father since the mid 80s, with care, intelligence, and compassion until the day they died. In 2015 when my wife and I retired to Venice, I began seeing him too. 

To the Oynick family I give my profound condolences. Please realize, as I am sure  you do, your husband, father, and grandfather made a significant positive difference to his patients, improving their quality of life and instilling a positive outlook.

Dear Flora, Josh and Jessica,
We shared a friendship with Guillermo that started almost 42 years ago and despite living in the same city (Montreal) for only one year our friendship grew and strengthened with time. We spoke recently about Guillermo and Flora coming to our daughter’s wedding.
As per all the beautiful tributes on this site, Guillermo was a real mentsch in the true sense of the word; kind, gentle,  passionate, with a wonderful sense of Yiddishkeit and humour and a wonderful ability to combine the two. He always spoke with such great pride about his family. A loving son, husband, father, uncle and friend, he was truly one of a kind and we will miss him dearly.

We were patients of Dr. Oynick for the past seven years since we retired to Florida. When Amber was in the hospital, he came to see her every day. He told her that she was going to live a long life to be sure. Since I spoke Spanish, he would always greet me with “Muy Buenas Dias!” And, when he said something once to Amber, and she answered with “I don’t speak Spanish Dr. Oynick, he responded: “I wasn’t speaking in Spanish; maybe you need to check your hearing? Now, she has hearing aids.

Querida Familia Oynick,
Nos acabamos de enterar del fallecimiento de Billy.  Lo conocemos desde que era estudiante de medicina y se acercó a mi papá el Dr. Jinich para aprender  de el. Lo veíamos muy seguido en nuestra casa  acompañando a mi papá en sus consultas y visitas médicas. Se querían y respetaban mutuamente. A través de los años nunca se perdió el contacto y siempre que venía a San Diego pasaba a ver a mis papas con mucho cariño.  Hace un año y medio perdimos a mi papá a los 94 años. Mi hermano Daniel, médico, falleció trágicamente hace dos meses.  La pérdida de Billy nos vuelve a llenar de suma tristeza y no queremos creerlo.  Toda mi familia lo sentimos profundamente.  Que no sepan más de penas. 

We first met in 1978 in Montreal and I have such fond memories of Guillermo .
We spent many days and nights together working at the Jewish General Hospital and his warmth and humour were infectious. He was beloved by all, young and old .He was a  Renaissance man with a deep love for music and humanity.  May his memory be a blessing to Flora and the family

I worked for Dr Oynick in the Lab  when it was Venice Internal Medicine for 11 years. He was so kind and compassionate to all the employees and patients and their families. Most especially when my own husband passed, he insisted I took enough time to grieve as he knew my husband and family well.  He will be missed a LOT......

Dr. Oynick has been our physician for over 20 years. Not only has he given us sound medical advice but he made himself available when we needed him most. He was that rare combination of a fine doctor and a deeply caring human being. We miss him!
